CAREER HISTORY
In 1963, Robert commenced work as a general administrative
and support technician with Middlesex County Council Architects' Office.
In 1965, he progressed to the position of Trainee Building Surveyor with
London Borough of Barnet, assisting the Senior Chartered Building Surveyors
to carry out Maintenance and Minor Works to the Boroughs' building stock.
Robert's next position was in 1969 with Lincolnshire County Council as
a Project Surveyor responsible for carrying out maintenance and minor
works projects to the County Council building stock, from inception to
completion.
In 1978 he moved to Hereford & Worcester County Council as a Area
Building Surveyor responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of
building surveyors and engineers to carry out emergency and planned maintenance
on a portfolio of 200 mixed County Council properties in the Redditch,
Bromsgrove and Wyre Forest districts.
From 1990 he spent 9 years as an Area Building Surveyor:- Project Manager
for Post Office Property Holdings Birmingham, and was responsible for
the delivery of the Royal Mail Midlands Division Programme of Maintenance
and Refurbishment of sorting and administrative offices.
Since November 1999 Robert has been a Chartered Building Surveyor with
Allen Cavanagh Partnership, carrying out a wide variety of surveying duties
EXPERIENCE
Robert has been responsible for providing a full range of Project Management
and Building surveying services to large organisations including, Councils,The
Royal Mail, NCP, British Waterways, Coventry City Council, and Coventry
University. Specifically these appointments have included :-
- Project Management
- Planned Maintenance Surveys and Programming
- Maintenance Management
- Repair and Refurbishment contracts
- Planning Supervision
