HELEN CAVANAGH
Commenced work as a Clerk with Birmingham City Council Treasurer's Department in 1974.
In 1975, I progressed to the position of Clerk within the Personnel Department of West Midlands Gas and then to Bartley Green Area Office, Customer Service Department, and for a short time, in the Wages Department.
In 1980, I then progressed to Assistant Area Clerk, Customer Service, dealing with all aspects of customer service and arranging Gasfitters’ daily work schedules.
After a career break to raise a family and some temporary work, I then became a Partner in Cavanagh Building Surveyors in 1994, dealing with administration and finance, and more recently have worked for Allen Cavanagh Partnership, a small building surveying practice in the Midlands.
