CAREER HISTORY
Eamon Commenced work as a fully indentured Carpenter / Joiner Apprentice in
1975 and progressed on to become a Carpenter and Site Foreman.
In 1981, he progressed to the position of Building Surveyor and spent seven
years with Birmingham and Coventry Councils, covering a wide variety of maintenance
and alterations.
A short period was then spent as Maintenance Manager at the National Exhibition
Centre.
From 1990 he spent four years as a Project Manager for the Post Office with
regional coverage of North Wales and the Midlands.
Since 1994 Eamon has been a Partner in Cavanagh Building Surveyors and later
in Allen Cavanagh Partnership, running a small building surveying practice
in the Midlands.
EXPERIENCE
Eamon has been responsible for providing a full range of Project Management
and Building surveying services to large organisations including Birmingham
City Council, The Royal Mail, NCP, British Waterways, Coventry City Council,
The National Exhibition Centre and Coventry University. Specifically these
appointments have included :-
- Planned Maintenance Surveys and Programming
- Project Management
- Maintenance Management
- Schedules of Dilapidations
- Schedules of Condition
- Repair and Refurbishment contracts
- Planning Supervision
- DDA Access Consultancy
